For the weary, the watching, and the wondering.
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
—Matthew 11:28 (NLT)
Let’s be honest:
Motherhood can be exhausting. Not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.
You’re holding everything together, but quietly wondering if you’re doing any of it right.
There’s pressure—from social media, from comparison, from the fear that you’re missing something.
And deep down, you may carry the quiet ache of feeling unseen.
But today’s message isn’t “try harder.” It’s this:
You can trust the long, slow, hidden work of God.
Even when you feel like nothing is enough.
🧶 God Is Still Weaving
Think of watching someone knit: from the backside, all you see is a tangle. But flip it over? It’s a pattern. It’s purposeful. Beautiful.
That’s how God works.
He sees the whole.
You see the threads.
And He’s not asking you to figure it all out.
He’s asking you to trust that He is.
💠 Mary Did
Mary, the mother of Jesus, didn’t get a roadmap.
She just said yes.
Yes—without answers.
Yes—through uncertainty.
Yes—at the foot of the cross.
She watched her Son walk a painful road—and she didn’t stop it.
She stood nearby. She believed. She let go.
Moms: sometimes faith means being present and not fixing.
Sometimes love looks like staying close while trusting God’s timing.
🌿 You Don’t Have to Do It All
Jesus isn’t offering more tasks.
He’s offering rest—for your soul.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart… So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
—John 14:27 (NLT)
That’s peace that doesn’t depend on a clean house, perfect kids, or a balanced calendar.
It’s peace that whispers:
“You’re seen. You’re loved. You’re held.”
🙏 A Prayer for You
Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit—
For every mother and caregiver:
Bring rest where there’s burnout,
peace where there’s anxiety,
and joy where there’s weariness.
Help us trust You, even when we can’t see the pattern.
Amen.
